I thought we would see a little more pressure and pushing the ball last year, but we didn't. I would love to see it, but I will believe it when I see it. I really hated it when ISU played Iowa years ago and faced 40 minutes of pressure. I'm sure a lot of other teams hate facing relentless pressure.

I think this team will fare much better record wise than last years because they won't take any games off, and won't coast defensively as often.

I think that perception comes from the ups and down associated with trying to fugure out how to deal with an unconventional offense with Royce playing point for the most part.
Basically if Royce wasn't aggressive or neutralized we had a very hard time creating offense.
This year if we aren't able to penetrate with KL, we should be able to push the tempo a bit and get some break points. Not to mention that we still have Clyburn, Percy and Niang that all can initiate some offense depending on matchups.

Re: Unofficial scrimmage results
I am pretty sure the results of this scrimmage proves that we are going to be way better than last year. Last year, we lose to Nebby in a nail biter of a secret scrimmage. This year we completely blow them out. I think that should show all the pundits that we are now a contender for national dominance.

Re: Unofficial scrimmage results
Better?
More chemistry? No.
More talent? No.
Will we be better? YES! This is the system that Mr. Fred wants. A team that can speed it up and run up and down the floor when we have to, but also has the ability to sit back, run plays, and do something crazy.
However, our crew next year is going to be nasty to say the least.

As to the "taking games off" last year... I definately think we took the Drake game off last year. We were 10 times the team they were IMO.
