I just hope we don't settle for this Edozie kid? Seems like Armardi is already a project... I don't think we need another one.

Hogue was pretty good it looks like. Better than the first game for sure even though someone said he didn't play much the first game.
Amardi was pretty bad once again it looks like. 10 total fouls in the first 2 games is rough.
I'm somewhat worried about 2013. We lose 5 of our best players and we will be pretty young next year. It is still early but I was hoping Amardi would be really helpful since he will be a senior but so far it doesn't seem like he is making much of an impact for Indian Hills. I trust CFH though.
I wouldn't get too worried about Amardi and his fouls just because of the way that their coach plays. He has Armardi (at a solid 6'8" and pretty good build) playing defense at the top of the key so he will pick up fouls on people driving around him. By the way, McKay also plays this spot at 6'10" (although he would be 200 lb on a good day) but try throwing it over him on a full court press.
As for Hogue I would really like to see more of him but I have my doubts as to whether he will be more than a role player for ISU. He's probably only 6'5" ( i guessed 6'4 before) although the printed brochure says 6'6.5" 206 lb. He likes to drive and reminds me a little bit of a bigger Diante Garret but not as quick.
They also had a freshman from Romulus High School in Detroit (same as Clyborn) by the name of Justin Moss. The Hill's coach was an assistant at Utah before the head coach got fired last year. Anyway, Moss looked pretty polished and is a solid 6-6.5" and 235 lbs. He had 10 points or more in the game and looked pretty smooth around the basket. It was only one game but he looks to be a D1 recruit for next year who could play the 3-4 position. Found his profile out of high school, we had recruited him but did not offer at the time. http://rivals.yahoo.com/iowastate/ba...hQQDkAXASZsJB4
I want to start getting IHCC's top prospects rather than their plan B type players.
I know this thread is about Hogue and Amardi, so hopefully the OP won't mind me posting about some other Juco's that we've recently shown interest in...
CSI has played 3 games thus far. Billy Reader's stats are as follows:
game 1: 15 mins, 14 pts, 7 rebs, 4 fouls
game 2: 28 mins, 13 pts, 7 rebs, 2 fouls
game 3: 20 mins, 7 pts, 12 rebs, 1 foul
Iowa Western has played two games, but stats are not yet posted. I did see a tweet from a Reiver athletics twitter account mentioning that Soumaoro had 16 pts in one of the games.
I would not be too judgemental on Amardi until after New Years. The kid simply has not played much in organized real games since he has been out of HS. He will be primarily counted on next season for defense and rebounding in the post (similar to Booker), any scoring will be a bonus.
Reader had 13 pts, 6 rebs, and 1 block in 16 mins of play last night.
Fred must really want that athletic big man and the freedom 1-year scholarship provides, because as far as basketball goes, it would seem like 2-years of Reader would be better than Amardi.
14 pts, 8 rebs for Reader tonight in 26 mins of play. CSI beat Monroe (#12) by 41 pts.
3rd game against Mid Michigan - IHCC 118 MMCC 65
Hogue: 14 mins - 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals. Made his only 3pt attempt.
Amardi: 13 mins - 10 points, 8 rebounds
I wouldn't get to caught up in stats for these two. IHCC had 7 players in double digits and 11 had 7 or more points. They play 11-12 players deep that range from 10-20 mins/game. IHCC played yesterday but didn't have full stats up yet. Looked like Amardi had another good performance based off the game log.
With signing day coming up tomorrow that reminded me that I found a site that has IHCC game replays. no idea if they have all of the games but most of them so far. INDIAN HILLS COMMUNITY COLLEGE-OTTUMWA Sports And Athletics News | iHigh.com - The Global Youth Network
The fourth game was supposed to be a little more competitive but they beat Paris Tx pretty badly. Here is a link to the story No. 5 IHCC routs Paris in finale of Reed Overhead Doors Classic » Sports » The Ottumwa Courier Looks like Amardi had 7 points, 8 rebounds, and fouled out again...lol. However, more concerning is it looks like Hogue did not score. The freshman big guy that I though looked pretty good Justin Moss had 14 pts, 7 rebs.
well these guys suck! :v_SPIN:
