    Re: ***Official ISU/Minnesota State Post-Game***

Didn't see it mentioned but MSU already played a hopeful NCAA tourney team in Minnesota. The score for them was 81-56 so we scored more points and did so minus 1 starter (Babb). Probably means absolutely nothing but just something to note.

Niang and Long are going to be pretty dang good, both this year and moving forward.
Rebouding is going to be sketchy all year.
I was disappointed with Clyburn but I am by no means selling here. A whole year with no live game experience, it is expected that he was a bit rusty.

The whole time I was watching this game I was thinking: this team would've been absolutely FILTHY if Royce was on it. Oh well, onward and upward!
Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

Yeah, if it isn't on TV they'll put it up as soon as they get the file ready, which the FAQ says takes around 12 hours. So I'd expect to see it up sometime tomorrow morning.

Saw positives and saw negatives. Booker was not himself today at all. Clyburn will be better no doubt. The band was hilarious as usual.

Seems like the team agreed with you for about 10 minutes. Should not happen in practice or games.

    Re: ***Official ISU/Minnesota State Post-Game***

I was impressed, but they need Babb. They also need to rebound. I liked Hoiburg's comment that they got 18 offensive rebound against us, if that was in the Big 12 it would have been 32. If you can't stop offensive rebounds, you can't win in the Big 12. The defense will be much tougher in the Big 12. They need to box out. Otherwise, I was impressed with the freshmen. I was mostly worried that our team needs to be much more physical as I watched this game. We will get killed by disciplined strong teams that play defense. I am not worried too much at this point, I think Hoiberg knows what needs to be done, and I believe we have the people to accomplish it. We really need Booker and Gibson to focus on interior defense and blocking out. They need to use their strong bodies to the maximum Iowa State advantage. If they do that, this will be a very good team.

outside of the lack of caring from the 10 minute point in the 1st half until they woke up in the 2nd half, they looked pretty good, and fast. they will drop 1 they shouldn't I think in non-con, but I think the ceiling is higher than last year's team with the depth and speed they can play.

Certainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never really care for anything else thereafter.

The band is annoying, I sit on the non-band side whenever possible.

THIS. i really hope they never go to the sideline to do 'cowbell' ever again. they need to be cheer, dont say anything stupid, and play the fight song a couple times. jeesh.

as for the game, they are going to play very fast this year. they did a great job of getting lucious the outlet pass so he could start the break. rebounding was eh. that really needs improved. the way naz long played reminded me of DG. made alot of good decisions. SDW and okoro arent ready. get familiar with the name 'georges niang' .. he's gonna be around for awhile. those are my scatter brained thoughts.
