Sell-out?
I'm only counting 22 tickets left for tomorrow night's game. With them over selling the student section, it's going to be an incredible atmosphere. Someone refresh me when the last time was we were anywhere near a sellout to start the season against a mid-major opponent. http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/06...4&minorcatid=7 -
Re: Sell-out?
I'll be amazed if the students fill the parquet seats.

Re: Sell-out?
I bet it will be a sellout but not near full attendance. It will be interesting to see how many people show up though. I can't remember any opening games that were near full.

Re: Sell-out?
Curious how they can oversell, but still guarantee everyone with a ticket a seat.

Re: Sell-out?
wondering how many people will show up. i'd love for ISU to get to the level of where atmosphere's like the baylor game last year (people who were there know what im talking about) are the norm.

Re: Sell-out?
I'm a pretty optimistic fellow, but I have a lot of trouble seeing any more than 11,000 actually showing up. Anything past 8500 would look like a huge crowd for this game.
Unless Opening Night has the pull I'd like it to have, of course.

Re: Sell-out?
Yeah, there will be a large number of season ticket holders, including myself, who wont show up.

Re: Sell-out?
Games against teams like this will never sell out...or at least be fully attended. It's a 7 hour "trip" for me and Southern doesn't warrant that. I'm not complaining at all, just sayin'. I'll be watching on Cyclones.tv.

Re: Sell-out?
This is one of six games they are offering tickets to the Jr Cyclone Club kids and parents. In years previous, you could go to any non-conference game for free with your membership and didn't need a physical ticket for the child. This year you had to order tickets for both your kids and yourself. There will probably be quite a few young kids and parents at the game tonight--tickets are in the 200's on the sides. There is also a cheerleading clinic for young girls, so part of your halftime entertainment is a bunch of 5-12 years old girls who will have just learned a simple routine a few hours before the game. ;)

I know I did. But my kids and I will be there tonight.

I'll be there.
JMO but I like watching blow outs (hopefully) of lesser teams like this

I only ordered for three games but was ticked when the ticket office sent me tickets for Yale (which I did not order) instead of Texas (which I did order).
