Come on, guys, it's the first game. There isn't a team in the country that looks better now than they will during tournament-time. Don't hang your heads just yet.

He sat out a season, and everyone is different. Not every person reacts the same way to this stuff. Some seasoned vets still get nervous (unless they've been in the NBA for YEARS). Relax. He's most definitely having a very off night.

Some of you need to relax. It's game 1. Southern is actually supposed to compete for their league championship. They have one amazing player and some supporting cast. Beltran wouldn't have 24 pts if Babb was playing.

All that matters is getting the win in game 1, and working out some kinks. One game doesn't make a season for a player like Lucious. I remember some threads that sounded EXACTLY like this one last year, with Allen and RW being the target of frustration after a 1.5 year build up of how amazing the new transfers were going to be.

At the end of the day, they did just fine.

How far behind is this stream? They just said Kansas is up 43-35..I just turned that game on..it's 49-41

No kidding. Some of the guys haven't played a great game and we started slow, but we have 73 points with just under 7 left and we're up by 21. We have other players who've actually played well. Lucious is having a bad fluke game.

People act like it's the end of the world even though we're up by 21

Are people really getting bent out of shape over a game on November 9? I don't know much about Southern, but I think they're picked to do well in their conference, which I assume means they have a bunch of guys that have played a lot of ball together, like Beltran, who's a senior. ISU doesn't right now, and you can tell. Because it's November 9.

We have a huge height/strength advantage over this team. Almost the end of the first game and I think we played decent. Had a lot of energy the 2nd half. Very raw, no clear leader yet, but a solid bench. I think there is plenty of room to polish up this team by the time we hit conference play.

Am I the only one that thinks that half of our points scored so far coming from our 3 bench players is a pretty good thing?

Add in Babb to the mix, and it seems that Niang, Percy, McGee and Naz might be one of the deepest benches in the B12, at least in terms of production.
