If Texas is ranked, K-State is getting votes then why not? Especially K-State, new coach, & they weren't a great team last year.

Edit: I see Brokenlogin beat me to it...

You know who you don't see in the top 40? That power-house recruiting hot bed in Iowa City.. Shocking!! -

If you look at their roster they don't have exceptional talent. Good, but not great. Yeah, Weber did great when he had Deron Williams, "The one man fast break", Brian Cook, Powell, Luther Head....he had a ton of talent initially at Illinois. For the talent they had last year, I think K-State did exceptionally well. Martin did an incredible job with that team. So for them to pick up where they left off with Weber & expect the same results or better, I don't see it happening. Would be very surprising to me.

But the question was why are they ranked/getting votes? That has been answered. Nobody knows if it will end up that way.

Beating powerhouse SWAC teams isn't easy, of course we're getting votes.
