Re: Cyclones.tv question
I rebooted, refreshed, did cartwheels, and farted the nat'l anthem and it still didn't fix things.
Hoping tonight is different.

Re: Cyclones.tv question
I run about 8mbps with my internet connection, and I had flawless HD all game. Didn't skip a beat and I live in Chicago.
I am running a 6 core 3.5Ghz processor, 10 gigs of memory, and a 2GB dedicated graphics card on my desktop if it makes a difference.

I should be set for at a minimum the next 4 years (seeing as how fast technology changes). I do a lot of engineering/design the requires a decent amount of memory/processing power.
A good desktop these days can be dirt cheap compared to the higher spec laptop. No need for a laptop when my company provides one.

Now I have a checklist to use next time I have a problem. -
Re: Cyclones.tv question
I have 30mbps (which I am actually getting now) and it was unwatchable for me as well. I hate to say, but if they're not going to beef up their servers to handle the demand, I'm canceling.
And I know you're supposed to be ALL IN and not say stuff like this, but cyclones.tv is NOT better than Mediacom Ch 22. YET. In fact, the quality of service I'm getting from it, it is definitely not worth the cost.
So get it together, ISU. You're on notice, but I'm still hoping.

MC22 production quality was crap. CloneZone was better and Cyclones.tv is miles ahead of MC22's broadcast.

Re: Cyclones.tv question
How many of the people who were having problems with Cyclones.tv are using Mediacom internet. I have been having lots of problems with their internet. You will not see it in speed tests as I was getting 20-25 Mbs download but the connection kept resetting. I moved my modem back so that there were no splitters in the line but I still have some problems. When I connect to my work computer via GotomyPC my internet connection keeps coming up as intermittent problems that take 5-20 seconds before it comes back.
I even had Mediacom technician come out and he wouldn't do a damn thing saying, uhh your speed is great you don't have any problems. The modem doesn't reset but I didn't have time to show him the problems I was having. I still think they are pushing their old equipment to max speeds but have made the network less reliable.
This last game would really flip quality in and out. It would go full HD with surround sound then (as if it lost internet connection for a short time) it would drop down to the worst quality with mono sound. I think its the internet connection but I can't prove it.

What gets me is that everything was fine for the exhibition game.
Forever trying to find a cure for the Dunning-Kruger Effect. -

Is this the official ***Complain about Cyclones.TV during the game*** thread?
