Royce White headed to D-league??
Hopefully not true. Source is the Sports director for the local houston Fox station I believe. Fantasy Basketball Breaking News - Rotoworld.com -
Re: Royce White headed to D-league??
Hmm. I know getting him PT makes sense, but their strategy for him is confusing. Maybe they will reveal a little more about their reasoning when they likely address this tomorrow.
"He is the toughest I have ever been around, physically and mentally," Burnham said. "You can beat him down but you’re not going to beat him out. He’s got the mindset of, ‘If you’re going to get me out of this game, you’re going to have to kill me.’ That’s about where he is."

I can see this as a positive. Get him into bball shape and get his confidence up. Also, they do not fly in the D-League.

Can't say I didn't see it coming.

I think Royce has too much on his mind. Needs to get back to focusing on basketball and let the rest take care of itself.

I loved the guy, but dude, show up in shape.

Re: Royce White headed to D-league??
seems really bad right now but this might be what royce needs im sure he needs some live action... but in real honesty he should have never left for the NBA in my opinion he was not mature enough

What was important was that he gets his guaranteed contract when he can. His stock was never getting higher than it was. He was already old for a lottery pick. He made the right decision.

missing training camp was killer...I'm still not sure how/why he or they let that happen.

It is unfortunate because he can't help his anxiety and everything and he is doing really well with the awareness for it, but that is not helping his NBA career any.
