There about 40 teams that COULD be Final Four team.
Their current ranking is probably a good reflection. If later in the season, I would say it is a toss-up.

Cincy has a lot of experience and a lot of guys who have played together for a while. ISU still needs time to gel and have guys like Lucious knock some more of the rust off.

Re: Cincinnati
This game will be a wake up call for our team I predict. Similar to the Michigan game last year.

Still makes me wonder how we weren't better with Gilstrap, Garret, Brackins, and Ham.

I don't think we're going to get pounded against them.

Re: Cincinnati
percentage of our fanbase that knows cinci made the sweet 16 last year and returns most of their team, including 3 stud guards? probably <1%.
korie lucious is going to have to step it up and play like we all hope he can. we make stupid turnovers we're toast.

I don't think we're going to get pounded against them. I think Korie is going to have a very tough go of it in this game and I hope the result is he plays more disciplined BBall. Heck...we could win. Just feel this might be a tough night for the guys this early in the season.

Re: Cincinnati
Can Babb shut down 3 players at once...if so I predict an ISU win.

That is a good thing.

Re: Cincinnati
I know this is a Cincinnati thread but there was mention of the Campbell team. The just recently lost to Northwestern State rather decisively. I am sure they will give us more of a challenge than Southern and Alabama A&M, but it won't be a barn-burner either. The Cincinnati game however, I believe we will have to bring our A game to come away victorious..

Re: Cincinnati
Oh don't forget about a very talented North Carolina A&T team we are overlooking! (just kidding) I am sure the scoreboard lights will get full use that game as well Cyclonic1.

korie lucious is going to have to step it up and play like we all hope he can. we make stupid turnovers we're toast. They lost 2 of their top 3 scorers from last year, one being Yancy Gates who was their top post and pretty much the only post that did anything offensively for them. They replaced him with an average Juco 6'8 SF. So not really the same team at all.
