Big 12/Future Opponents

-Baylor lost to CU (58-60) after beating a very average Boston College (84-74) yesterday.
-Ok State beat Tenn (62-45) to move to 3-0.
-After falling to MSU on Tuesday, KU was down at the half to Chattanooga, but curb-stomped them in the second half.
-TCU lost to SMU.

-BYU has a big game against FSU tonight
-Oregon plays Vanderbilt tonight

WVU got pounded by Gonzaga earlier. Also, Okie State took overtime to win their second game, I can't remember who it was against, but it wasn't a powerhouse.

I think the best team we will face all year in Cincy. It is just a got feeling, but I see them in the top 10 at the end of the year. I'm not sure where UNLV will end up (if we even play them), but Cincy will be tough. They have an experienced back court and play solid d (with pressure on the ball).

KU...they may piece it together we will see. Okie State has pulled out some close ones and have been hampered by injuries. They could be tough later in the year.

OU could be dangerous.

I like the ISU team to finish in the top half of this conference (barring injuries) but I have my cardinal and gold glasses on so that is a major caveat.

It is early, but we would have been the class of the Big 12 with White.

I think we need to quit worrying about losing White. We need to worry about Booker and Gibson and the others giving us the defense and rebounding that White gave us last year. We need to worry about Lucious giving us solid point guard play. I think we are alright, if we do the things that we need to do. We don't have to lose a step because of White. I think what White gave us that was so important, probably more than anyone else was completely unselfish play. We have people who are like that this year that will lead the team. We can't live in the past, White is gone.

As long as we are at it you could use some work on your use of singulars and plurals...

These losses or near losses mean nothing this early. Don't get me wrong, it's a great post and I'm not knocking you for posting it, but losing this early will mean nothing once B12 play comes around. Once teams start to gel over the next few weeks, they'll be completely different team. Heck, I'm sure we'll have a ugly loss before January.

The way I think about this, ISU should want the B12 to do as well as possible OOC. That way they need fewer wins against higher quality in-conference opponents to punch their NCAA ticket. As much as we might hate it, it's still much about the RPI.
