Tyrus has big 12 starter caliber talent, he was a great juco scorer, yet he not only accepts a role off the bench but also the role of our hustle guy. With the guys we lost from last season someone needed to step up and be a leader, Tyrus seems like a natural fit for that role. I don't think we need to look at him and say he needs to give us X amount of points/assists/rebounds every night, his constant is his energry and effort, he's always going to give us that.
McGee and ejim both seem quicker and stronger than last year. I don't remember ejim being able to get up like he is this year, he's had a couple of impressive dunks. I liked McGee a lot last year, and I think he was a good defender last year, but it seemed like he took some unnecessary chances on d. So far this year I haven't seen him do that, or if he has, he makes the play.
