    Instead of looking at what we have been and what we currently are as a program, think about where FH
    wants to take this program. So, how many top notch guards does a NC team need? How many did Kentucky have last year? How many does Duke have? I think that is where FH sees ISU.

    Putting 3 guys on the floor who can pass, shoot 3s and get penetration is just dumb. In fact I bet Fred Hoiberg is just plain dumb for even thinking it.

    I've always loved three-guard lineups, like Williams-Brown-Head at Illinois, Foye-Ray-Lowry at Villanova, Pressey-Dixon-Denmon at Missouri (cough, Norfolk). I loved when Kansas had lineups of Miles-Boschee-Hinrich and, when Rush was hurt, Robinson-Collins-Chalmers.

    There's always some defensive and rebounding struggles with these lineups, but it's just so hard to defend a team that has multiple guys who can drive, pass, and shoot. College basketball is and will continue to be a guard's game. ISU can't pass on guys like Custer.
