Re: Clayton Custer commits, says relationships were key in decision
Seeing the recruits the CFH is bringing in and the potential that we have over the next few years is something that dreams are made of. I believe we have the tools to be a top 10 team over the next few years and compete for Big 12 Championships and go deep in the tourney. Oh, and yes I drink the Kool-Aid.

I agree and this is something we haven't seen in over a decade. We're finally getting the good recruits (and not just one here or there) and building good recruiting classes. Previously it was like we'd get one good player every year or so and then reach on 2 or 3 others "hoping" they develop and/or grabbing guys who are borderline Big 12.
This is where we need to be to compete in DI ball. You have to have a coach who garners the respect of the top players out there and gets them to come to his program. Programs live and die by recruiting.

At least this time he will have his gatlin with him [Matt Thomas] to shoot the hostiles down.

Re: Clayton Custer commits, says relationships were key in decision
For everyone who complains that he is a point guard and that we already have a couple of point guards just think back to the years when we haven't had a competent point guard leading the team.
Also remember the years when we have had no one who could really back up the starter.
Building depth and competition is important to the development of this program.

Great pick up, but we need to start bringing in some bigs for the future

Building depth and competition is important to the development of this program. But pyrocyz, its really hard to think back all the way to last year.

No one remembers what a disaster it was to have Chris Allen and Scotty run the point at the beginning of the season.

Re: Clayton Custer commits, says relationships were key in decision
It seems to me that FH will recruit a PG every single class. In 2014, we'll have four of vary sizes/skills and one in each class. Seems like a great strategy to me.
