Yep, and it's no surprise that in Garrett's senior season, Hoiberg's first season, he magically could finish a lot better, shoot better, and almost doubled his point total.
Freshman: 6.3 points/game
Sophomore: 9.8 points/game
Junior: 9.2 points/game
Senior: 17.3 points/game
Now, maybe it's because Brackins wasn't there his last year, but still..that is quite an impressive jump in scoring. I did notice though that he could shoot and finish better in his senior season under Hoiberg.

They were the most successful of GMac's teams at ISU though. They went 6-10 in conference play.

Re: Article on Wes Johnson and DG reunited
I think under Hoiberg, Garrett would have done better at any point in his career. Garrett didn't fit into McDermott's scheme, as most players don't. Garrett would have been a great player under four years of CFH. He spent three years trying to figure out how to do things GM's way, and that only hurt his development. I actually got so I couldn't stand to see a GM game. They were too painful to watch.

I feel bad for Rahshon Clark. He was recruited under Morgan and he still played for McDermott even though it wasn't his style. I bet he would have done a lot better under Hoiberg too. That was Clark's style of play. I still remember the 2004 streetball esque play vs. Virginia. Stinson - Blalock - Clark.

Re: Article on Wes Johnson and DG reunited
I think we will see a lot of improvement in guard's play under CFH.
We saw it with DG. I think last year we also saw it with Scotty. I'm not sure if we saw it with Chris Allen, but I think his stats were better than at his previous stops.
This year, the results remain to be seen, although it seems we can see some improvement in McGee at least, but I'm not sure that can really be attributed to FH. Obviously, one game is not enough to see with Babb.
What will be really fun and interesting to watch will be the development of Korie this year.....and the future development of guards like Long, Morris, Thomas and Custer. I would expect those guards to improve every year they play for FH.

That's a bunch of crap. If I'm DG I start swinging as soon as he sees WJ. That punk left when times got difficult.

Nobody can blame him for leaving. McDermott was a complete jerk to him. Almost anybody would have left if their coach did that.
