IowaPrepSports.com also has Linn-Mar winning 67-32 as well.

So CR people just flat out lied.....
Re: Following all of our Signed and Committed players
ISU Recruiting Info@ISURecruitLists Hearing #Cyclones signee Matt Thomas had 35 points for Onalaska (WI) in a 57-54 win over Holmen (WI) tonight
Also......here is a short interview with Monte Morris done in Detroit after his team lost for the first time this season, to Detroit Pershing (SDW's high school). That might be cause for some good-natured ribbing next year. Detroit Pershing was ranked no. 1 in Class A, Flint Beecher (Monte's school) was ranked no. 1 in Class C. Class A are the largest schools in Michigan.

ISU Recruiting Info@ISURecruitLists#Cyclones signee Monte Morris tallied up 15 points and 7 assists for Flint Beecher (MI) in an easy 82-44 win over Mt. Morris tonight.

I originally thought he would average 10 ppg 8 rpg. After observing his statistics in his first two months of this season he has disappointed IMO. I understand that Indian Hills plays a ton of guys including high level division 1 caliber athletes. But he is 7th in scoring and 6th in rebounding right now. I don't see him doing much more than Booker is doing this year. I really really hope I'm wrong.
More to it then that. He isn't needed to win because that team is so good. He only plays 12 minutes a game, if he played a whole game, he would average over a double double every game. That is pretty good coming off an injury and not playing for a couple years.

I'd be fine with that, someone has to fill that space and accept more limited roles. As long as he's a good teammate and practices hard and is well-liked it's a bonus if he contributes on above expectations.
Re: Following all of our Signed and Committed players
I am betting by season end next season, Armadi gets more minutes then Percy because he will be able to run the floor in transition better.

The question is why is he only playing 12 mpg? You would think that any high level division 1 post player on a juco team would be in the top 3-4 in minutes, points, and rebounds. Indian Hills has 4 guys going to a high level division 1 school. 3 of the 4 are in the top 3-4 in every category. Amardi's stat line looks more like a mid major or low major player if that. Granted before the season started he hadn't played on a team in 21 months, but still his stats are underwhelming for any high level division 1 player. Hogue on the other hand is looking like he could be a solid pick up for us!
6-8 F Jameel McKay-Marquette: mpg-25.0(1st), ppg-18.4(1st), rpg-10.6(1st)
6-6 G Jelan Kendrick-UNLV: mpg-23.3(2nd), ppg-12.8(3rd), rpg-5.1(3rd)
6-6 F Dustin Hogue-ISU: mpg-22.2(3rd), ppg-12.6(t4th), rpg-5.0(4th)
6-9 F Richard Amardi-ISU: mpg-12.1(9th), ppg-6.9(7th), rpg-4.4(6th)
On a side note Edozie has 0 division 1 high level players on his team. Minutes played isn't kept track of but I can only hope that he is in the top 3-4 on a team with no high level division 1 players. He is 5th in scoring(7.4), 1st in rebounding(7.5), and 6th in field goals attempted(5.2). Those are pretty weak stats if you ask me. You would think he would be leading them in pretty much every category considering he is the only high level player on the team.
At this point I don't see Amardi or Edozie coming in and being more than role players that rebound and defend for us. It looks like we will be depending on Ejim, Niang, and Percy at the PF/C positions to play the majority of our minutes, score the majority of our points, and get the majority of our rebounds over the next couple of years.
Re: Following all of our Signed and Committed players
The fact that he hasn't played competitively in a long time plays a large part in it I'm sure. I also thought I heard somewhere that with his athleticism, he's played a lot of perimeter defense causing him to pick up quite a few fouls quickly. May have heard wrong though.

Yeah I also heard he plays a lot at the front of their press along with perimeter defense. If he is picking up a ton of fouls and unable to stay on the court you would think that the coach would change his role. I doubt that his fouls are the only reason he is playing 12 mpg game though. Usually if you are playing 12 mpg you aren't one of the better players on the team. This is 12 mpg on a Juco team too not division 1 team. If anything he should be playing 20 mpg at Indian Hills and then 12 mpg at Iowa State. I can't imagine too many players that have an increase in minutes when they get to the division 1 level. It's usually a decrease since there are much better players and it's harder to earn minutes.

Why would they change his role? That is the defense they play.
He was signed to be Booker's replacement. I am not concerned that him playing behind a Big East player in McKay meaning he will not able to do that. In fact, besides where he plays on defense, his role will be very much like his role at IHCC.

They could put him at the back of the press instead of putting him on the front of the press and denying the ball. They would change his role so that he doesn't foul as much and so that he can get more minutes.
All I'm saying is that his stats don't scream division 1 caliber player. All the other guys on the Indian Hills roster that are playing for division 1 teams have division 1 numbers. Amardi doesn't. I'm sure if you insert Booker into the Indian Hills rotation he would be top 5 in minutes, points, and rebounds.

Have you watched their games? That is not where they put their athletic bigs and they do not need to move him as the they like to use a big rotation. McKay, the guy that plays in front of him, is likely a JuCo All-American and he only plays 25 minutes a game. With their style of play, Booker would be lucky to make it 10 minutes.
What are D1 numbers? He is a role player on a team with multiple D1 players. Just as he will be at ISU.
The only reason to be concerned is if you thought he was going to come in and be anything more than a role player.

I haven't seen them play no. But I do know that there is always a guy on the back of a press that is usually one of the bigger players on the court. They have 4 division one players on their team. 3 of the 4 are in the top 4 of minutes played, points, and rebounds. Amardi is 9th in minutes played, 7th in points, and 6th in rebounds. Division 1 players should have better stats than non division 1 players.

Are you assuming they do not have any freshman at are going to go D1?
Like NBA players are suppose to have better numbers than non-NBA players? A center is suppose to have better stats than a guard? It is about projecting a player to fit the role you are recruiting him for.
Re: Following all of our Signed and Committed players
Amardi is a D1 player because Fred gave him a scholarship. The rest is just noise.
