It's actually typical and appreciated.

Re: Following all of our Signed and Committed players
Hogue had 14 and Amardi had 4 last night against Ellsworth. Amardi fouled out.
Re: Following all of our Signed and Committed players
Back to Thomas for a second. Did I read correctly he only made 3 3's and still scored 37 points, while grabbing 8 boards...in 20 minutes???
That's pretty good.
Re: Following all of our Signed and Committed players
Thomas on his way to Ames for the game today - per his twitter.

Another game where Amardi had more fouls than points, huh? He might end up with more fouls this year than he does points.
Call me skeptical, but I will believe that Amardi and Edozie are Big 12 caliber players when I see it. I just thought that Fred Hoiberg would be able to do so much better than having to grab guys like this? Don't get me wrong, Monte Morris and Matt Thomas are studs, but some of the rest of the commitments just seem like big reaches to me? I hope I'm proven wrong again by Fred.

Watch an Indian Hills game and you will understand. Unless Fred plans to put Amardi at pg, I am not worried.

We don't need 4 studs every year, nor will we ever get 4 studs every year. Sure, it would be nice, but it's never going to happen. We did make the tourney last year with these non-studs on our roster:
Jordan Railey
Tavon Sledge
Aaron Law
Austin McBeth
Besides, I'm not going to judge whether any of these guys are, or have the potential to be, studs until I see them on the floor against Big XII competition at Hilton a few times.
