Could Florida Gulf Coast be a trap game?
I hate to state this, but I got a feeling that this game being sandwiched between the BYU and Iowa game could spell trouble! Florida Gulf Coast actually has played some pretty competitive games. Played Duke closely in the 1st half. Hopefully we don't take them lightly...Any other school that could give us fits that you fanatics can think of that is a low major program???

We better be ready. Miami is awful and St. John's is really not that good. Plus they still won by 11.

UMKC isn't that good, but as a road game, going into the long break, that one worries me slightly as well.

Very disappointed that the admiral has made an appearance in this thread yet. -

Iowa state has lost it's last two games, it clearly has identity issues, and right now CFH is coaching his *** off to get these issues fixed. I really don't think the team is taking time to look ahead to anyone. It's not like they have a perfect season to protect. They just need to improve each game to peak during conference, everything else will take care of itself.

If we lose to Florida Gulf Coast I highly doubt making this team makes the NCAA tourney.

Take note....Miami is in a battle with Michigan State tonight. FGC may be interesting for ISU.

Not sayin' Florida Gulf Coast is this stellar team, but they are no Alabama A&M either..I don't know why but this game stands out to me, and scares the hell out of me.
Look for ISU to beat BYU by a comfortable margin this Saturday..

Re: Could Florida Gulf Coast be a trap game?
I was actually going to post something like this as well. I live about 10 minutes from the FGCU campus and have gone to several of their games this year including the Miami game (who just beat Michigan State). I think we will win the game but it will not be easy. FGCU can get to the rim and finish and they are a very good rebounding team. Won't be surprised at all if it is a very close game.

And.....Miami takes down No. 13 Michigan State 67-59.
