Re: Iowa storms court against little brother
I'm really sorry but I just watched the game a 2nd time and in the second half they looked like the more experienced team to me. They did exactly what they wanted. Hoiberg seemed like no worries.

Not to mention we were getting killed on the boards too.

But yes I would have to agree with you.... Iowa definitely 'stormed' the court after this victory. lmao

Joining the site specifically to argue about Iowa rushing the court seems like a good use of your time. You really seem to be enjoying the big win to the fullest, and not getting sucked into a petty argument. I'm confident you will contribute a lot the site and welcome you whole heartedly. I assume you weren't being sarcastic..I certainly am not. I never understood sarcasm..few people do.

I assume you weren't being sarcastic..I certainly am not. I never understood sarcasm..few people do. Well first off I would like to thank you for that very kind welcome to your site. Secondly, I joined your site to have some good natured conversations about this particular game as well as the future of both programs. I'm sorry that the first thread my eyes caught was about the apparent rushing of the court after the game which intrigued me to the point that I figured I may as well make my first post.
But all this nonsense just goes to show that this series is finally turning into a fun and competitive rivalry again because of the cyclone fans that are so upset with this loss that they try to pick themselves up by bashing on Iowa students and players for being excited after their first victory in this series in three years. All in all I do enjoy these Cy-Hawk games and hope Iowa State has a good season going forward. But since I clearly just joined this site to specifically argue this petty argument I better just end it at that.
***Oh and on a side note, if you watch the video it's more of the players actually rushing the student section than the students rushing the court.... but that is just my observation i suppose.

Re: Iowa storms court against little brother
It didn't look like they stormed the court to me. If they had some people out there, I don't see anything wrong with that but by no means was it a storming of the court. We had beat them 3 in a row. I'm pretty we'd sure do the same. Hell, we storm the football field every time when we are at home and beat them. Get over it. They played a lot better than us and won.

Re: Iowa storms court against little brother
Jesus Cripes, are we really arguing over this. Who gives a crap if they stormed it or not. It's stupid when other fans make fun of us for doing it, and it's stupid we are trying to do the same. Fans excitement is what it is all about. If you never, ever, ever rush the court or field, then you have never had anything to be that excited about.

National Championship still possible.
Am I doing it right?

Re: Iowa storms court against little brother
Iowa Basketball has been diseased for a long time. They don't beat us often because we have had a much better basketball program. We still do. Does them storming the court make our loss last night any better?

Re: Iowa storms court against little brother
I was sitting in the Student section (because they couldnt get enough UI students there which blows my mind) anyway it looked to me that most of the students had never been to a game before. There were 2 chants "**** the cyclones" and "big 10 reject". That was it...seriously. The students were tame and boring and even when it came to storming the court none of them knew what the **** was going on. It was pathetic...just like Clyburns performance last night. also "a few rows of students greet the players on the court"= Court Storming...just a really pathetic one
