Im not saying he isnt going to be a good player, but there may not have been a place for him at ISU.

I don't know if Woodbury is going to be a monster, but he's going to be a really valuable player for them. Definitely better than I expected. Clemmons was really good too.

Re: Remind me, why did we not want Woodbury?
The honest truth is CFH passed on Woodbury because he looks like a goober. You need to be aesthetic to play for the Cyclones. Same goes for Gessell.
There...it's out. Now you know.

If he can make that shot, its damn near impossible to stop.

We didn't ever factor into Woodbury because he was a lifelong Hawk. It was either Iowa or a big name school.
Saying he sucks or wasn't a factor is just butthurt and not objective. Woodbury
23 min
9 points
5 boards Niang 33 min
13 points
5 boards
Clearly both were factors. Maybe the biggest thing that Woodbury did was go cause one of our senior starters to pick up 3 quick fouls in just 5 mins of game action. You just became my fav poster. Best freshman on the court last night was Niang. But that doesn't mean Woodbury won't be a big time college player. The butt hurt right now on this site is ridiculous. The kid got an offer from North Carolina for christs sake. He didn't want to be a Cyclone - life goes one. Lazard just committed mostly because he bleeds cardinal and gold. You win some, you lose some. But every single one of you saying hes awful and he wouldn't play for us make our fan base look like dumb *****.

I think he is decent. However we don't match up well at all with him. We are to small for 7 footers. Whithey will have his way with us. Good thing is there are not many tall centers in tue big 12.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

No wonder I avoided this site last night after the game - stupidity reigned the night. If our team is so much better how come we lost by 9 points and committed 19 turnovers??

a 7 footer who can shoot a hook shot is impossible to stop and that doesnt even mention the fact that he shoots it with either hand
thats why ive never understood why post players dont work on the hook shot more often, it cannot be stopped
woodbury is going to be a handful for the next 4 yrs

Re: Remind me, why did we not want Woodbury?
Adam Woodbury showed up on his official to ISU with a Hawk T-Shirt on, that should tell you why he isnt at ISU. I also think that is a classless move by him to do that, have some respect or dont waste a visit. Anyway, Iowa played above themselves some last night. I will eat crow if they are able to bring that much energy every night out. i say that because I know they wont, hats off to them.

Its as simple as that!!
LOL except for the "simple" fact that we offered him a scholarship and had he accepted we would have taken him with open arms. But don't let a fact get in the way of your false and racist rant.
I don't know how high his ceiling is but he's 7'1'', runs the court well (nothing "slow" about him) and he's active. He's only going to get stronger. He was outmuscled/pushed around at times tonight as he will all year but the desire is there to bang with the big guys. Looks to me like he will become an above average to good college player.
