I understand that but it must of been a pretty big lie if he was ruled ineligible for the whole season.

    No.

His title was pretty self-explanatory, by the way.

Re: Myck Kabongo suspended for season

Even with him being suspended, texas is still a decent team. How decent of a team are they?? 20 wins?? Who knows, but the big 12 will be lucky to get 4 teams in the big dance at this point.
If you take away first base, they'll just go find a new ballpark to play in.

NCAA announced a 23 game suspension. His first potential game...Iowa State, February 13.

Re: Myck Kabongo suspended for season

"Kabongo has already missed the first 11 games of the season and won't be eligible to play for Rick Barnes and the Longhorns until Feb. 13 against Iowa State in Austin."

I have no idea if the NCAA actually has a grudge against ISU, but sure seems like if they can find a way to not give ISU an advantage they do... The evidence is starting to build up.

Seems like a pretty arbitrary amount of games to suspend a guy for, doesn't it? Why not 20 games? Why not 25?

Is it arbitary? Ask the people who gave it to him. Oh wait, its the NCAA, I think alot of people (including myself sometimes) think what they do is pretty arbitrary.

The real question. You think they said "lets cut it to 25. Oh wait, ISU would be missed? Okay let's make it 23."

    Really????

23 games is approximately 75% of the season. That is my guess on why that was the number.

But the difference in number of games for Shabazz Muhammad (3) and Myck Kabongo (23) is puzzling. Both were for impermissible benefits, I believe, yet it is a 20 game difference. Is it really all for not cooperating with/lying to the NCAA?

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

So rarely in life do I take a full on kick to the nuts...but as an Iowa State fan I feel as though our proverbial sack is purple from all the constant blows.

May the NCAA have mercy on our scrote.

This is correct. He lied many times over and that will get you every time.
