Re: Texas and KSU looked pretty good
KU was outstanding. I don't see who in the Big 12 is going to come within 10 points of them, home or away.

They'll be in some tight games, and maybe even lose a couple, because that's how it works but nobody else will sniff the conference championship if they remain healthy.

Another note: Southern beat Texas A&M today....that will help the RPI a little. WV is very young, Huggy will have them playing tough but I'm glad we get them at home early. I don't see sweeping them. This ISU team has struggled away from Hilton against anyone with a pulse, I won't count any road games as automatic wins just yet. Plus, who have we beat?

We've beaten all the teams we were supposed to beat and lost to the teams we were supposed to lose to so far. That does nothing to differentiate us from all the other 9-3 teams at this point in the season.

Someone will beat them but they still will end up winning the conference pretty easy. I really like that Ben McLemore they have. Bill Self even said that he is the best freshman he has ever had.

Re: Texas and KSU looked pretty good
KU could go 18-0 in conference play this year and I wouldn't be surprised.

How sweet would it be to take KU down first game in Big 12?

Yes, and after the KU and K-State wins combined with Illinois's loss to Mizzou, perhaps the Big Ten is not as good as advertised and the Big Twelve not as weak.

Re: Texas and KSU looked pretty good
Ben McLemore has been excellent so far. KU played in front of 19,100 in Columbus against an Ohio State team that featured a preseason 1st team AA, and McLemore was clearly the best player on the court. I wouldn't be shocked to see him win Big 12 POY as he continues to improve every week it seems.

Re: Texas and KSU looked pretty good
We know how things can change pretty quick when conference play starts. Lets just hope we end up with around 12 conference wins!!
If you take away first base, they'll just go find a new ballpark to play in. -

They may wish they had more depth in the front court because once you get past Withey and Young, they have only two frosh, Ellis and Traylor; these two may turn out to be good players but right now they have little experience.
