Texas and KSU looked pretty good
KSU is still playing but look better than I thought they would and I think Texas is improving. Those two will more than likely be splits for us. A sweep either way will be impressive for the winner.

How did Kabango look on the bench?

Kansas looked good as well ditto Baylor last night. I moneylined KU today against Ohio St. I hope Kansas St wins outright even tho I just took points.

Re: Texas and KSU looked pretty good
Texas is nothing special. KSU looks good tonight but Bruce Weber will blow it at some point this season. And once Frank Martins recruits are gone good luck.

Re: Texas and KSU looked pretty good
Looking at this fairly pessimistically...
We could get swept by KU,
Split with KSU, OSU, UT, and BU,
And sweep three of OU, TCU, TTU, and WVU while splitting with the fourth,
And we would still finish 11-7 in conference play.
Do that, and win one in Kansas City, and we are going to go dancing again.

Texas didn't look good. Michigan State looked bad.

Another note: Southern beat Texas A&M today....that will help the RPI a little.

Texas and Kansas State are no better than they were last year. I would still say Texas is worse.

Re: Texas and KSU looked pretty good
Today was just the type of day the Big XII needed. Two wins over top 10 teams, one on the road. Even Texas playing at MSU will help out the conference RPI. The Big XII down is down but it's not Pac 12 down. I still think the conference will get 4 or 5 teams in.

Intriguing nature of college basketball is how much it can fluctuate throughout the season (much more fun if "your favorite team" is on the radar).
Although Sagarin isn't a tournament metric, it monitors the pulse as it's happening. Big 12 is up to 5th by-conference (was 7th a couple weeks ago) prior to KU beating Ohio State (which, according to Sagarin, was almost a toss-up) and KSU over Florida (UF was 2nd at the time)
Iowa State was 32nd as of 12/21, 3rd in Big 12.

KSU looked good against Florida, seems like McGruder has been there forever. Weber is just as bad of a coach as Scott Drew though, he took Self's players to the Final 4 at Illinois, and didn't do a whole lot after that. Texas get Kabonga back from the 23 game suspension to play who? Iowa State! You knew it would work like that didn't you? -

But I thought, what are the odds?
