Rashad Vaughn
Do we honestly have a chance to get this kid from the power programs? Anyone know his interest level in us?

Re: Rashad Vaughn
In my opinion, he goes to the big boy programs.

Re: Rashad Vaughn
We have a chance until he tell us no. I actually think Rashad is our best chance at a recruit of that caliber in a long time. He's visited here twice, always mentions us in his article updates. His coach mentioned us first in a new article I saw last week. It's no doubt going to be tough beating out programs like UK and KU but I like our chance to be in it until the end.

Re: Rashad Vaughn
I used to think we had a decent shot, but lately he has been getting a crazy amount of attention. IMO he will end up at a power school, if he stays in the region I bet it's at Minnesota.

Re: Rashad Vaughn
I hope so, but it seems every big program is stalking him now. Maybe getting in on him early will pay off but don't hold your breathe

This is the exact opposite of what I read last week (maybe from the national rivals recruiting guy). He heard that Vaughn was likely to stay in the midwest, but not Minnesota.
I think our chances with him are pretty slim too, but I don't feel any worse about now than I did 3 months ago.

Re: Rashad Vaughn
If he is strongly considering ISU, I would expect him to make more visits this season as close as he is.

Re: Rashad Vaughn
Minnesota player was quoted saying Vaughn will not go to minnesota. He does not seem like a Kentucky kid. More like a Duke kid. Hopefully we get him. Being compared to Ray Allen.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Re: Rashad Vaughn
ISU has a legit shot. Not saying he'll be a cyclone, but Iowa State is in the discussion. Baylor, Duke, and Kentucky are who I worry about the most.

Re: Rashad Vaughn
if he stays close to home, people are saying it'll be at Iowa State. Duke, UNC, and Florida will be tough to beat out.

Re: Rashad Vaughn
We have a shot but that doesn't mean odds are he signs here.
"He is the toughest I have ever been around, physically and mentally," Burnham said. "You can beat him down but you’re not going to beat him out. He’s got the mindset of, ‘If you’re going to get me out of this game, you’re going to have to kill me.’ That’s about where he is."

Re: Rashad Vaughn
I could see him signing here. Go to Kentucky, Kansas, or a school like that and you have a chance of getting lost with the other 4 and 5 stars they sign. Come to a school like ISU and you will be a star.
Plus, it is close to home for him and for his family to come and watch him.
Would love to see him on one wing and Thomas on the other. That would be fun to watch.
