Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Bracketology
He had us out last year until the Selection Committee put us in.

Re: Bracketology
From what I see, Iowa and ISU are last four in as 12's?

Jerry Palm = Big 10 homer all you need to know.

Re: Bracketology
yep, f palm. This is his fantasy dream bracket. Or at least that's what I gained by all of last year. He would love for Iowa to play BYU in the play in game, because honestly, they would destroy them almost as bad as we did. And he would love for ISU to have to play a play in game versus North Carolina.

Re: Bracketology
No way UNC ends up as a play-in team. They're young and will get better throughout the season.

Conference season has not even started.............check back in 2 months.

Re: Bracketology
He actually has 6 teams in from the Big 12 - Kansas, KSU, Baylor, OU, Okie State, ISU.
Palm is a huge big 10 homer. If I recall, last year his very last bracket had 4 from the big 12 and 8 from big 10. Basically, if the team is a big 10 team and on the bubble, he has them in automatically.
Side note - I do think 7 from the Big 10 is about right this year.
Yep, this thread has just been pwned. -
Re: Bracketology
Anyone else notice these analysts seem to be giving us more credit then many of us even feel comfortable about? Seems no one bought in last season and are giving us the benefit of the doubt this season.

Re: Bracketology
Unfortunately the Big 10 has some good basketball teams this year. Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio St are fun teams to watch. The Big 12 gets 4 in off reputation only, not sure we will have 4 worthy.

This is what happens when you make the tournament the year before, beat the defending national champion and hold your own with the eventual national champion for about half of the 2nd half. It is a good position to be in.

It's a simple game in which strategic beauty comes not from being surprised by some new clever trick, but from the sublime, routine brilliance of a master in his element.
