UMKC is terrible but yeah the stretch of SEC team, Iowa, Michigan, UNI would be brutal. That's usually how most teams schedules are during early December though because they want to play the good teams while the students are on campus in between Thanksgiving and Christmas break.
Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
I say it a lot and it may get annoying but:
Michigan is winning the national championship this year

Really? I heard home vs home series. Where did you hear that? If that's true odds are that game will be on a Saturday since the last 7 out of 8 games BYU has played in that arena have been played on a Saturday according to this article:
BYU at EnergySolutions Arena | The Official Site of BYU Athletics

Duke. I guess I didn't realize we ended up beating UMKC by 15, seemed closer to me. Probably because the video was so bad I couldn't see the score. Still better than some of the early teams we play.

I also wasn't aware of Diamond Head Classic -- love to get back into tournaments like that.
Is Big 12/SEC going to happen officially, or hasn't that been determined? If it does happen, who would we face? I would guess something like Vanderbilt.
If I get time, I'll fill in teams for those early home games just for fun.
The Big 12/SEC challenge is in the works. Not sure who we would play.

The first half was IMO the worst half of basketball we have played all year. The first half of the Iowa game was just as bad I guess too.
Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
As it stands that is a very solid schedule and with having Michigan, Iowa, and UMKC at home I say 3 wins (Michigan is losing a lot come next year). Iowa will only improve with all those young players, and UMKC was pretty solid. The schedule opening with what appears four wins, first "test" with KC and then a possible SEC team that is matched up based on skill, I see us playing Vanderbilt. So this is good news going into 2 tough games and 1 tough, very important, lucky to be neutral game with UNI. Hopefully with no transfers until January this team doesn't need the meshing time like this year and last year, so we can hit the ground running.
Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
We will probably need the meshing time next year as well losing three/four starters and Tyrus.

Really??? Unless they go pro early which is possible with a couple of them, but their top 5 scorers could return next year. If they do, they could be a phenomenal team coming to Ames next year

Yes, I see a lot of those players going early. Especially if they win the NC.

Who, besides Burke, do you see going pro early? I don't think any of their freshman will be one and done.
Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
Ok I know it's been discussed before but since we're talking about meshing I see this as the potential starting lineup until January (When Maurice Jones can play)
G - Palo/Long (Morris redshirts because of depth)
G - Thomas/D-Walker (I don't think Okoro has it. Prove me wrong)
F - Hogue (Niang could play this spot because he is a little undersized)
F - Ejim (Niang comes off the bench. Could win 6th man awards, much like McGee for Babb this year.)
C - Gibson (Amardi, from what I've seen, is not going to be a Big 12 caliber player. Probably like Booker minus the shooting ability. He is consistent, unlike Booker. He is just consistently not a Big 12 caliber player.
I like this lineup. We just need January to roll around and save us though.

Look man, take it easy. Just got the wisdom teeth pulled and am a little high right now.

Monte Morris won't redshirt. He's probably better than both those other guys already.
