So this is good news going into 2 tough games and 1 tough, very important, lucky to be neutral game with UNI. Hopefully with no transfers until January this team doesn't need the meshing time like this year and last year, so we can hit the ground running. LOL! When was this?

BallSoHard4Cy,I miss those threads you always started that got taken down 5 minutes later. Since you've come back, you haven't posted many of them. Maybe now that you are high on meds, you can get back to it.

G - Palo/Long (Morris redshirts because of depth)
G - Thomas/D-Walker (I don't think Okoro has it. Prove me wrong)
F - Hogue (Niang could play this spot because he is a little undersized)
F - Ejim (Niang comes off the bench. Could win 6th man awards, much like McGee for Babb this year.)
C - Gibson (Amardi, from what I've seen, is not going to be a Big 12 caliber player. Probably like Booker minus the shooting ability. He is consistent, unlike Booker. He is just consistently not a Big 12 caliber player.
I like this lineup. We just need January to roll around and save us though. Yeah I don't think Morris will red-shirt either. It's possible though if Bubu stays on the team. Also Hogue will not start IMO. Ejim will start at the SF and Niang at the PF.

Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
Using your dates -- a few random fill-ins:
Fri Nov 8 Longwood
Tues Nov 12 SIU-Edwardsville
Wed Nov 20 Jackson State
Sun Nov 24 North Dakota
Sun Dec 1 UMKC
Tues Dec 3 Big 12/SEC challenge — at Vanderbilt
Fri Dec 6 Iowa
Wed Dec 10 Michigan
Sat Dec 14 UNI @ WF Arena
Sun Dec 22 Diamond Head Classic: 6 of 8 in 2013 Diamond Head Classic field announced - Hawaii News - Honolulu Star-Advertiser
Hawaii
George Mason
Iowa State
St. Mary’s
Oregon State
South Carolina
My guess about the matchups, not the bracketing, missing the other 2:
Hawaii vs. (big-conference TBA)
South Carolina vs. (high-mid-major TBA)
Iowa State vs. George Mason
Oregon State vs. St. Mary’s
Tues Dec 31 @ BYU

I have nothing saying where we are playing just his word that BCS league teams rarely play on their court.

Little Hardaway is making his case. Little Dog Robinson could probably use another year or two of development. Maybe they all don't bolt this year, but if they make a deep run, the NBA is going to want all 3.

Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
Looks good so far. Michigan should get 2 of Hardaway, Robinson, and Stauskas back with Horford, McGary, and Morgan and a couple recruits so should be good for preseason top 5-10 plus with the Hoks in Hilton that should be plenty make season ticket holders happy. Diamond Head is on regular TV when nothing else is on thats good exposure and I'd guess the brackets of it should set up for ISU to get a bad team first round and only have to win the semi against a tough team to make the final. @ BYU is a respectable road game and they'll be down a bit next year so good chance of a W. Plus an SEC team.
Actually might be a good enough schedule that you don't need to add one more "marquee" game and can pick and chose your crappy teams to bring to Ames to light it up on. This years schedule isn't bad since all those teams have done well and kept winning just needed one more big game to really lift SOS. Regardless well done Hoiberg and Pollard. Will be a disgrace if Jones can't play ball till mid December.

Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
I've decided next years non-conference schedule doesn't matter. We will all try to discredit any team we beat because they must suck, because we suck.

Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
I don't see how Niang doesn't start next year. He will arguably be our best player and it wouldn't surprise me if he leads us in scoring. That being said, does Ejim slide to the 3 so he, Niang and Gibson can all start?

BYU has a CHANCE of getting into the tourney as an at large, other than that, we haven't beaten anyone that will get in without winning their conference tourney. And we have a LOT of improving to do as a team if we want to have the season we are capable of.
When people say this kind of stuff it doesn't mean they think we "suck", or that they are rooting against us. I hope as much if not more than anyone that we get things figured out, like we did last year. But you'd have to be pretty naive to think we've played well this season.

And you have to be pretty niave to think we've played THAT bad. Is there room to improve? yes. But we are still way ahead of last years team. And anytime I bring up something like hey BYU is kicking the **** out of Vtech (a hopeful tourney team) people like you put down vtech because they must be bad. Then I say hey UMKC (remember that team we beat by 15 and people still had a meltdown) barely lost to KSU, you say, KSU sucks, they have no offense.
Maybe this is all true, all I'm trying to point out is that there are tournament hopeful teams out there doing a lot worse against the same competition that we beat handily that people were melting down about. Now you must justify your melting down by saying whatever second hand competition must suck.
