Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
KSU doesn't suck...UMKC does though, and the UMKC game wouldn't have been nearly as alarming if it was just a one game lull. Also, unless they change the way the are playing right now, Virginia Tech won't sniff the NCAA tourney.
And yes we have ABSOLUTELY played bad. We've won because of our talent, not because we're playing good basketball. Do you think we played good against Drake? How about UMKC? Florida Gulf Coast?...what about our games against Iowa, UNLV, and Cincinnati? Right now we are a talented team playing bad basketball. I love Iowa State and will be there Tuesday at noon rooting for us against Yale, but I'm also not so blinded by homerism to think we are playing good basketball. Our defense has been awful most all season long, and so has our decision making.

Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
Also, at no point have I melted down or given up on this team...but am I frustrated by the way we are playing? Absolutely. And I don't think that makes me a bad fan or means I'm throwing the team under the bus.
I also don't put down Virginia Tech because they got it handed to them against BYU. I put them down because since the Okie State game, they have been playing absolutely TERRIBLE basketball, losing at home to Georgia Southern, and getting beat 52-88 to Colorado State.

If Michigan wins tonight I bet our home game with them is on ESPN or CBS... How long has it been since we had a non conference home game on a major network? Virginia at home with the monster Blalock to Clark dunk?
I WAS THERE!!!!!! -

Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
Michigan is going to be very good next year. Even losing Burke and Glen Robinson III (I think the rest of the guys will stay), they are loaded. Hilton will be packed for that one for sure

which is probably true since we always get the crappy teams in these challenges.

winnable game against an SEC opponent might not be a bad thing...

Re: Non Conference Schedule next season
Here I thought this got bumped because of the Florida Gulf Coast game. Glad the Michigan prediction was just short of a success.
