Re: Royce refuses to play in D League
This guy is a character.
It is more like a scratch my back and I will scratch yours scenario. If he would have just bucked up and played, the support would be there and he would probably feel much better about his condition. People are more willing to help you, when you seem like you are willing to give up a little something in the process.
White looks selfish and determined to ruin any career he could possibly have. No NBA team is going to take him after this fiasco. He better work things out with the Rockets.

Re: Royce refuses to play in D League
Dear Royce,
Please just STFU, drop out of sight and get the "protocol" you so vociferously desire from whichever NON-sports organizations will take another chance on you. It's obviously not going to be in the NBA, but dang it, come back as the BEST whatever ever else you can do for a living guy as you can!
While it would be easier to accomplish all your goals with NBA money and the insta-platform the comes with it, I'm SURE you can adequately support your family on the normal income of the majority of us other college grad... er, uhm, well,,,,, lets just say bye for now.
Sincerely,
A formerly concerned fan.

Re: Royce refuses to play in D League
I see my comment on the ESPN article is now one of the top 4 comments that show up when you click on the article Royce: PLEASE get off Twitter and fight your "cause" by showing up and playing in the DLeague instead of making excuse after excuse. Even your biggest supporters from your days at Iowa State are getting sick of of your show right now and you'd do a lot more good by fighting your anxiety head on and dealing with it while it happens if you were playing versus hiding from it behind a Twitter account using it as your crutch not to play basketball right now. Your anxiety is winning the battle you are trying to fight until you get some marbles and fight it head on. That's all the Rockets are asking you to do is to make an effort to play, they can't deal with your anxiety if you don't want to be part of the team. -

Re: Royce refuses to play in D League
He needs to wake up in the next few days or he is going to find his contract terminated. He will have no college degree, no prospects for playing bball at all, and no marketable skills. He could do a lot more for his cause with millions from the NBA than he can with his welfare checks.

Re: Royce refuses to play in D League
Why does he only ever respond (retweet) people riding his di¢k or telling him "eat shít and die!"? anyone saying anything remotely intelligent he ignores. But the further and further this whole thing progresses I am seriously beginning to think Royce has the intelligence, mental capacity, logic, and reasoning of a 12 year old

Re: Royce refuses to play in D League
I swear I saw something about Royce saying what he wants is the same thing as what the doctors want. If that is the case, why haven't the doctors spoke out on your behalf Royce? Could it be that they have common sense?

What I don't get is why does he not state SPECIFICALLY, PRECISELY what it is that he, or the doctors want? He just keeps saying that the Rockets are not following what the doctors suggest, yet never specifies anything. Is he only supposed to practice so many days a week? Is he supposed to take specific meds? Travel a certain way? Have a certain type of music played in the locker room before games? Have his security blanket cleaned and within arm's reach, even on the bench? What?
The fact that he never, ever specifies exactly what the Rockets are not allowing, or not doing makes me think it is all just b.s. on his part. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who sympathize with him, probably only becasue he comes across as this martyr struggling against "the man". What hogwash!

And I was one of those people thinking he was doing good. Now he is just hurting people with mental health issues, especially anxiety sufferers, like me. I have always been extremely open about my panic disorder when speaking to employers, now I am kind of nervous to speak up about it. I don't ever ask for things to help me, but now people may think I am because I have it.

I just shake my head at this, and unfortunately he is not doing what he set out to accomplish. He's just hurting the cause for future people with a mental disorder. They will be afraid to even say it now. He should have hired a better team of people (if he did in the first place) to do this.
I feel bad too because IMO he's severely hurt his chances of ever playing in the NBA. He cited leaving early to support his kid, and also form new support organizations.. Unless he saves 80% of his money, he won't be doing what he set out to do. He better realize this, because in the end if he does it all wrong, he won't be supporting both of these things at once or even close. Let's be honest here. Would any pro team put up with these safety protocols? Would the Iowa Energy take him?

Re: Royce refuses to play in D League
RW had no troubles traveling at ISU. He had zero problems hitting up the bars after games (win or lose). He had no problems meeting and taking girls home from the bars. I'm confused as to where his anxiety is affecting him differently at the NBA level.
I understand how anxiety can ruin people, it runs rampant in my family. However, RW's "anxiety" is a blown out of proportion condition that is ruining any credibility he thinks he has to talk about it.

He didn't even turn 21 until after the basketball season, like a week before dead week. I don't understand his problem either, but never once saw him at a party or the bars.
