Re: Timberwolves Shootout
It's interesting to see that Custer and Johnson are guarding each other most of the time. So far, I would say Custer has the upper hand...which would be expected I guess.

Re: Timberwolves Shootout
Thanks for the great links, another Custer highlight play live! Nice little fill in during this week long gap of ISU games.

Clayton is looking SOLID to say the least

Apparently, swinging a video camera on a set tripod to pan and keep the image in frame is an extremely challenging task.

Re: Timberwolves Shootout
I would love to see Travis and Johnson both come to ISU. Could be tough.....one of the assistants from De LaSalle is a former Gopher player.
Really impressed with Custer. His ability to drive and finish is outstanding. I also think he could play the 2 as easily as the point.
I think Johnson is going to be really good too.....have to remember he is only a Sophomore. Travis is impressive. Not as dominant on the boards as I thought he might be given his ranking, but outstanding post scorer. Plus, he seems to play a good defense without fouling.
Custer's team wins 57-52.

Re: Timberwolves Shootout
We're going to have to have a Mizzou type lineup after Ejim leaves. In 2014 we'll have MT, MM, Maurice Jones, Clayton Custer and SDW (Rashad Vaughn? ) in the backcourt. There is way too much talent to have only two of those goes on the court at the same time. I think we have a three guard lineup with Niang at the four and Gibson at the 5. A NEED for this to work is to get a big down low who can do all the dirty work and also run the court. He doesen't need to very skilled offensively but we need an athletic big who can block shots, get rebounds, and get out in transition. If we can get a guy like this I think this team can do some serious damage in the future.

Re: Timberwolves Shootout
Peter Jok game is next if anyone is interested. After that, at 3 it will be Jones (2014 #1 ESPN) vs. Vaughn (2014 #10 ESPN). Vaughn has an ISU offer. Don't think Jones does, or ever did. I'm not really sure though.
Minnesota is producing a lot of really good players. This could really become a hotbed for ISU with just a little success.
I will post direct links to the video as/if they become available.

Re: Timberwolves Shootout
Our two commitments so far today have a total 69 points and 22 rebounds. Bright future in the backcourt.

I will post direct links to the video as/if they become available. Could is the key word here. So far, we are 0-fer in MN with the exception of Royce who fell into our lap on a transfer.
