Great gameplan and likely an identity-building game. Couldn't have asked for more coming into the game (but obviously hoped for more coming out of it). It's a heartbreaker, but I feel much better about the rest of the season.

I'll bite. What's our identity after this game? Talented but dumb?

As much as I like Fred, we have to admit it. Regardless of any other plays, if they foul someone before McLemore gets the ball, Iowa State wins the game. Unless the players were told to foul and they didn't, or they simply couldn't due to KU execusion, this one IS on COACH Hoiberg.

Well, here's my take away. How many posters on here said they expected a blowout loss? I would have loved for the team to come away with the W, but sometimes these are the games that not only bring a team together but show them and us their potential. I'm more excited for remainder of the season than I was 3 hours ago. It would have been beautiful had the good guys won this one but they didn't. Let's see how the team responds against Texas.

This quickly turned to an embarrassment. Iowa State deserved to lose this game.

I can only hope we've been infested with twelve year olds (or drunks) who can't handle their emotions yet.

All hindsight. All of it. McLemore misses it and this isn't even part of the discussion.

He BANKED a 3 with a hand in his face. You can't go back and say "Well, looks like they should have fouled him based on the fact that he made a tough shot, so, clearly coach lost this game".

You could be rite a blow out loss would probably be easier to take than a game we had won if we had fouled elijah cant make a free throw johnson...

We play like this game in and game out top three in conference book it, but wished we would have fouled there oh well. We need to respond well against Texas and become .500 in conference.
