Lets face it, everybody in the Big 12 has struggled at Kansas in the Phog these past 10-12 years. Iowa State has had a decent amount of success down there, more than any other team in the Big 12, winning 3 times since 1999. Kansas State (2006) Texas A&M (2007), and Texas (2011) are the only other conference foes to win in the Phog since then. With us playing tonight (Wednesday), we have won twice @ Kansas on a weekday: Wed. Feb 16th, 2000 and Mon. Feb. 5, 2001 and once on a Saturday (2005). I know both of these wins were with Marcus Fizer and Jamal Tinsley, but we have competed in Lawrence, most of the time. Larry Eustachy had a way of motivating players in a unorthodox way, kind of like Fred uses his own tactics. I really do think we can compete tonight if we keep it close early (1st five minutes of 1st half), outrebound them, and turn the ball over less than 12 times.

I think it being a weekday and with our team not in the "limelight" this year, we could pull a fast one on Kansas. Thoughts?
