Anyone who says ANYTHING close to this being a moral victory deserves to be punched in the back of the head. They played well - better than I thought - but there are no moral victories when you are up 3 with 8 seconds left at the #6 team in the country. You win that game. And if not, you should be hugely disappointed.
Moral victories are dumb, but what I saw was a team compete head to head and blow a chance to win the game. Hugely disappointing but encouraging at the same time they played well enough to be in position to blow it. Not many thought that was possible before tonight. Missed free throws cost them the game not the decision not to foul.
Not a moral victory, but I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be able to look and realize a lot of positives came out of this game. Right now though, just worrying about icing my balls.
This is a moral victory, but it's more than that...
I want this one to hurt for the team. I want it to sit with them and burn. I want them to come out the rest of the Big 12 season and put teams away when we get up. They know they had this and couldn't finish strong.
Fred may have played a factor in this loss but he's a winner. Moral victories are for losers and teams facing unfortunate circumstances. This team doesn't fit that criteria.
Is it just me or am I the only one that finds 0 positives in losses.....The point of the game is to score more points than the opponent which did not occur, therefore loses, end of story....
