Haha an embarrassingly absurd amount. First I had a price I would pay no more then and by the end it was like twice that haha. But after I saw how badass it was going to look there wasn't to much I wouldn't pay. Lucky I think I made a good choice of the player and will prob get to bring it to games the rest of my college career....after that I will prob have it hanging in the garage, I was telling my dad it's a piece of priceless art rather then just a poster.

That's awesome. And hopefully Georges is here for the long haul

Why did you check with the licensing office? Did the printer insist on it? Or did you wonder if you would be able to bring it in? I'm assuming that the licensing office is largely about keeping people from doing cool things (and maintaining the ISU brand). Seriously, how were they to work with?

Honestly they were pretty cool with me. I called and was telling this lady what I was trying to do and she was cool with it as long as I only wanted to make one to bring to games and not trying to sell a bunch of them. I passed that along to the printer and I guess he either thought I was just saying whatever so he would print it or he just wanted to cross his T's and dot the I's cause it seemed like it took him a while to get the "go ahead" on it.

I remember one time I was holding up a "Hilton Magic" sign during a time out and the guy behind me was freaking out. He was so irate, he even tried grabbing my sign and ripping it. And it was a time out with nothing going on! It was probably Nancy Clark's son.

I had a guy ask me if I was ever going to sit down during a football game (my first season after switching from student tickets). Sorry for cheering for my alma mater. Some people just love to ***** about stuff.

Glad to hear that they were cool with you. I haven't had any first hand interaction with them, but expect to do so one of these days. Nice to get past the unsubstantiated rumors.

Haha Yea I hadn't heard good things either that's why when I heard the printer was formally going through the process I was convinced that someone was going to nix it somewhere down the line

Chaos and random **** in the student section.. I love it! I agree on the "fill the student section with fat heads" front. Not sure whether I should bring Ron Burgundy out again this season or go with a new one.

And you'll have people complaining (if you aren't sitting in front of the big I-state sign that is) but just don't even bother listening to them. I got a lot of flack from people last year when I held up the Burgundy sign. Some kids are just too cool for school.

However, I woudl bet there is greater than a 50% chance some behind might complain if it is up all the time.

Not saying thing fro or against, but if they do, they are likely to prevail with ushers and security.

Great on checking with licensing, but did you check with Hilton or the Athletic Department? The would be the right areas on this., Maybe make a quick call or send an email today if not. It would be sad to see your hard work be shortened.
