Re: To much credit being given to Mclemore
The guy is very, very good. I noticed him right away in earlier games that I saw. He has really good size and can elevate with good form on his threes. Babb was right there, but the guy has the physical ability to get his shot off when he wants to. Obviously he's not going to hit all his threes all the time, but he looks like a great overall player.

Dougherty has been involved with college basektball since 1980 as a player at North Carolina and you consider it just a good game. Hmm...

Is it just me... or does every big game we play in some kid from the other team has a career night? The pigmy from OSU/J'Covan Brown/Perry Jones 3/Michael Dixon/Ben McLemore...
It's not ever just a solid team win... it's a kid going off for career highs.

He is very talented but all Im saying is that he had a crazy game. Kind of like Scotty last year at Kansas State. Because basketball isn't played by robots in a controlled environment.
Besides, he has been performing well all season. Not the freakish 33 points on 12 shots, but he was still averaging 15 pts and shooting over 50% on the year; he's not a one-hit wonder. The kid had the game of his young career, but like others have said, it'll probably be the first of many.

Yeah, but he won't play 40 minutes against those teams, more like only 20 and then pulled when the rout is on. So no he probably won't get over 30 points.

True, but didn't he go into Wednesday game hitting 2/3 of his threes over the last several games? He has been on a roll for a while building to a game like that. ISU was simply the lucky beneficiary.

Didn't Diante Garrett bank one in against Creighton two years ago as well?

I do believe Mclemore is a good player and probably the best on Kansas's team but he is not as good as he showed last night. Kansas is very lucky that he had the game that he did because without his performance Iowa State wins going away! I credit him for a great performance but not for the last shot. He missed the shot, it just happened to bounce in.

Just looked at the shot for the first time. How do we let the guy square up and shoot like that? Rediculous. The way everyone made it sound like it was an off balance lucky shot. The guys was able to square up, catch and shoot.
Unbelievable.
