I don't care how "down" texas is right now, winning against them by 20 is impressive. is there a coach who does less with more in this conference than barnes? the the talent (recruiting) and money that they have at their disposal one would think they would be up there with kansas every year.

isu has looked confident and good the past two games. playing some good team basketball right now.

We are a good team. I thought so on Wed. Today proved it. We got lucky to see some 20pt wins last year, but those are hard to come by in conference play.

They proved it on Wednesday. You don't take Kansas to OT in Lawrence if you aren't a good team. I'd even say that the game on Wednesday proved more to me about how good this team is than this game.

Hate to bring up the band again, but I did like their "Hey, the rulebook!" chant after a bad call by the refs

Great win today. Fully expecting to be 4-1 heading into the K-State game...which should be rocking if that's the case!

ISU only favored by 7 by Vegas and KenPom against a top 5 (overall NCAA) defense... and that was beautiful. The team I've been hoping to see has come out two games in a row. Hope they keep up the energy and smarts.

And I loved it. Better yet, I didn't even feel guilty afterwards.

What I like most about this game was that it easily could have been a 25-30 point win, just based on on how many great looks we had but missed. Also, how many 2nd chance opportunities we gave up. I definitely don't expect rebounding to be like that going forward, because of how much more athletic texas is inside than a lot of other teams

Tyrus is one of my all-time favorites. Love his hustle and fearlessness. Plus he heats up in a hurry from outside.

I hadn't thought of the word fearless but you hit the nail on the head. I absolutely love the way Tyrus plays as well! This team needs to play every game this way and we could be scary.

to an untrained eye (like mine) niang doesn't even look that good. then you look at his stat line game in and game out and get blown away. just does everything well and seemingly effortless. i remember watching his highlight video and thinking "meh".

and that is why am neither a coach or a talent scout because i clearly have no idea what to look for.

Unfortunately, ESPN has fooled people into thinking that you can't be a good basketball player unless you are a hyper-elite athlete. Niang may not be the most impressive athlete on the floor, but the kid can ball. Think about Larry Bird. Most people would agree that he's one of the greatest basketball players of all time. But would you say he's one of the most impressive athletes you've ever seen?

Fred's offense works so well with five guys on the floor who can shoot the three. That's the biggest difference I've noticed this year from the previous two. Every single player on the floor is a threat from outside.
