And before the KU game, I said this team had more potential than last years team. I was basically called crazy. Still think I'm crazy? We have a more balanced attack, and have a higher ceiling than a 9 seed.
Why aren't we making these dunks? I think we have missed the last 3 that were contested. Do the guys need to go with two hands? As fun as it is to watch them go for it, it would be even better if they make them.
Also, I'm looking for Babb to go for one of these. He had the best play I saw all Summer when he went over about half the players on the court for a massive windmill dunk . . . and made it.
Really wish I could have watched the game. Sounds like it was a good one. Go State.
Good win, Texas is not good right now but we can't afford any hiccups to these bottom feeders. At no point did I ever feel like Texas had any chance to win the game. Nor did I think anybody on either team felt Texas had any chance. Need to get these next three without any hiccups and then go at it with K State.
Was anyone else able to watch the ESPU Live stream in the 1st half, then not able to the 2nd? Weird.
From what I saw, the team looked pretty crisp. Kudos should be in order for CFH for quickly getting this team whipped back into shape to come out strong against at least a talented team, and the players responding too. Same goes for them putting the foot to the gas when UT got closer.
I just have to hand out huge props to Fred and his players.... what a great game they played today. They played awesome against KU too, just couldn't quite pull it off on a prayer that went in at the buzzer for KU. I was hard on Fred for his decision not to foul at KU, but have to say that Fred has the guys playing at an awesome level right now.
Let's not pretend that this Texas team is anything like most Texas teams are, but it's still an achievement to beat any Texas team by 20 pts. Great job!
I do have one huge observation from watching today's game though.... we are an amazing team and extremely hard to defend when we are moving the ball quickly. As soon as Korie Lucious, or anyone else for that matter, start dribbling too much and not passing it though, we quickly become like the ISU we all witnessed against Iowa this year. I really think Fred needs to stress this fact, which I'm sure he does constantly. Move the ball around quickly and keep really good spacing on the floor, and we are VERY hard to guard.
This team will be incredible if CFH can get Gibson and Booker really playing well. Those are the only weak links I see. Gibson did better today, but Booker is just not there.
