I get a feeling this won't be the only time this year for him.

He has been impressive.

Didn't think there was any way he could live up to the hype this year but he has done that and more so far.

I'm thinking between Niang, Clyburn, and Lucious we could wrap up a good chunk of these awards this year!

I thought there was no way considering McLemore's week; I didn't consider this scenario.

This makes it even more meaningful.

Is McLemore considered a newcomer? I think maybe not. I'm not sure how the rookie/newcomer awards deal with redshirts.

Well, he won the award earlier this year, so I am pretty sure he qualifies.

I'm not sure how it does. It is pretty rare that they will give both awards to the same player. If the player of the week is a newcomer (like McLemore this week), they give the newcomer award to the next newcomer.

Seriously, just try and hold him back. He has the most well rounded game for a freshman at ISU that I have seen in a long time, maybe for what I can remember.

The potty mouth really surprises me. My son runs across the bball guys quite often on campus, and says Niang seems like pretty nice kid, very polite. Maybe he's just a beast on the court.
