What happened to that? I moved out of town, man. Sorry.

Has anyone noticed our student section is extra "dorky" during bball? If you go to fball games you see normal guys that dress normal and hot chicks that party. Bball student section looks like the library had a field trip and there was a sale on wallmart jeans and new balances. Great u made a clever sign using an internet meme. What happened to getting hammered and screaming threats at the opposing team. Youre the same age as the players, its ok to get into a fistfight w them if they come at you. What happened to students tailgating bball games?

When we leave we go south on university past 30 and flip a u next to the gas station. So much faster than turning left onto 30. Need a roundabout at that intersection.
Admittedly, we didn't get there as early as we should. Saw lots of people trying to change lanes, even when it meant sitting there in traffic with a turn signal on while the traffic backed up behind them. The first one was on University just off the US 30 exit ramp. Saw it happening the whole way to the Mortenson light. And then also on the road by the practice facility. The left lane is standing still because they weren't letting us into the Hilton lots. The right lane is standing still because somebody was trying to get into the left lane.

I think it was after the Colorado game a few years ago when some student threw water bottles at the team as they went into the tunnel.

I would flip a U-Turn there too if I had to get to the Interstate. They should have police down there to control the light, but they only do that for football games. A roundabout wouldn't be beneficial for everyday traffic, and there isn't enough room for a partial cloverleaf which is what would really help.

Years ago, the football/basketball crowds were pretty much the same, but the basketball was actually more intense as it was the hardest of the hardcore.

The ISU student section used to be the same way. Between making the entire section CA, the restrictive atmosphere of CA at the time, and the terrible basketball of the McDermott era, this all died off. Its coming back, slowly but surely. There were flashes of it during the KU and BU games. But CA is still too cute, for lack of a better term. They seem to by and largely have been replaced with awkward goof balls who are more interested in being on a jumbotron than watching basketball. Re: Hilton Coliseum vs Allen Fieldhouse
The lots were awful saturday. It took me 40 minutes to get from 30 and university to my spot, and after the walk in i had missed tip.
Part of the problem is its just chaotic flow. And its made worse by the fact that they let people cut the line by cutting through the stadium lots, which stops the flow of cars into hilton's lots from S4th. They had cones up at one point this season to make it so you could only turn right into those donor lots (so that cars could keep flowing in, instead of constantly switching there), but some parking person had moved them off to the side this game, and are letting people cut right through again.
As for people switching lanes between 30 and s 4th on university, they sort of have to if they want to get over to the lots, and if youre coming off 30 you get stuck in that right lane because there's no cop down at 30 managing the in-flow.
They need traffic cops down all the way to 30 manning things before conference games, if saturday was any indication.

You see things like that and it makes you chuckle though. They don't want the students drinking, but they want to "Bring The Magic Back". Not sure how they are forgetting that a big part of that "Magic" was a student section and crowd that couldn't collectively pass a breathalizer if their their lives depended on it.

Amen to all this
