Re: Bubu reinstated
We are legally obligated to reinstate him if the charges were cleared. In the court of law, he is an innocent man. And if we stripped his scholarship for the promised year, he could sue Iowa state.

Has he not had enough unjustly taken away from him due to the false accusations of some worthless POS?

Re: Bubu reinstated
My first reaction to the news was that I'm not sure we need the disruption that reinstating Bubu would bring. We seem to be just finding our stride for the season.

I don't see how this is even a discussion. Charges were dropped. The legal system had its say and dropped the matter. That's the end.
Bubu is reinstated, just like he should be. As a member of the team, he's entitled to contribute and earn his way onto the court. He can play a nice role for this team, and he's supposed to be welcome to do that.

A drunk girl gets a train ran on her, then sobers up and regrets it and calls the police. An annual tradition in college athletics.

I think Fred has a much better read on the situation than you do moron.

I am not sure why everyone thinks this is going to be some big disruption. Bubu has been around this team all season. If you attend any games, you notice that he was sitting with Cam Fowler and any visiting recruits for all home games. He went into the locker room after games. I suspect that when the team was playing basketball on their own, he was there. Fred obviously made the decision that it was OK if Bubu was part of the team.
I doubt that Bubu is going to get a ton of minutes right now anyway.

Re: Bubu reinstated
I don't care how many newspaper articles were written on the subject or who you guys have talked to, nobody knows what exactly what happened outside of the two of them. I hope this was the right outcome (and not just a bad job by the prosecution) first and foremost. At the very least, I hope Bubu learned his lesson.
I'm glad Bubu will be able to get back on the court for the Cyclones, because Clyburn makes me nervous when he's running the point. Hopefully he's been working on his game so the downtime is minimal.

Re: Bubu reinstated
Guys, I am concerned this affects Fred's reputation in the NBA.
