We have too many people leave too early for that to work. Some students left before we could do sweet caroline.

I saw it. That was really well done. It was taken away quickly, but everybody on the other end saw it. Very funny.

Texas was the quietest sell out you will ever see. I am a student. I was there.

Just thought of something else. Those towels need to cardinal or gold. Not white with a huge blue carmax logo on them. I understand its so they can get sponsorship, but I wish they were at least school colors.

It seemed really weird that was a break game. Most of the students were back. If the dorms are open again, it doesn't seem like a break game.

IMO atmosphere was 9/10 for a Wednesday night 8pm game vs an 8-7 team. On a what Hilton can really do scale, 5/10.

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”

I had tickets in the upper level. Ticketmaster had the student section areas showing sold out, but there were many empty seats especially on the band side. Looked like there were a lot of families in the student sections.

Yea, we got our student son to sit with us in the upper deck and he was really annoyed by the empty seats in Cyclone Alley and the fact that no one was standing during the Texas game. I haven't talked to him but I'm guessing he was annoyed last night too; he had to work and got there right before the game, so he was upper deck and he has an intense dislike for anyone sitting in Cyclone Alley at any point. He seems to think attractive girls are some of the worst offenders for sitting in the Alley but they get there early to fangirl on the players so they are up front and on TV sitting down.

    Re: Atmosphere Tonight- your thoughts?

I watched it on TV. Like others have said: Cyclone Power during those free throws was sick. It woke up one of my kids...and i didn't exactly have the volume jacked up. The announcers went dead-air for at least 20 seconds...never seen that before. The rest of the game - good. You could tell the crowd got bored when we were beating them like a drum.

    so what have we learned?
    1. Cyclone Power during EVERY FREAKING FREE THROW. Keep it going between free throws...and someone tell the band this is the way its gonna be done from now until something else blows our minds.
    2. Donors/bluehairs will always be fun haters. They were when i was there 20 yrs ago. They will be like that no matter what. Just need JP to kick them to the endzone parquet or balcony. Let me know how that conversation goes.
