I'm a good lip reader, and........
T.J. was telling Fred from as hot as they've been from 3 we got to foul. Fred, without hesitation, turned and said NO. Different situation, because there was over 20 seconds left, but Fred stuck to his guns...................discuss.

I caught that as well. Don't kno what context TJ was talkin about but it was something regarding a foul.

WVU shoots 28% from 3, and there's no such thing as a "hot hand." So I have no problem with CFH's decision. Actually kind of surprised Otz suggested fouling, he seems like a stats guy.

Even when he made the shot there was more than 11 seconds left. That is way too early to foul.

Whatever it is, we need to do something from preventing a team from finishing the game 9-12, and worse yet, hit 3 in the final 1:50 of the game. Sure they were hot, and hitting from deep. But with an 8 point lead with 1:50 remaining, you cannot let them get back in the game by hitting 3 pointers.

I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story. -

Did you ever tally your shooting percentage after making two in a row? Three in a row? Etc? This exercise has been run many times on many players, many leagues, etc. The results pretty much come out that your chance of making a shot after making x in a row is the same as if you just missed one. Ever miss a shot when "you're feeling it?"
Anyway, there's a whole Wikipedia article about this topic and tons of statistical studies. Maybe I should ping khaal and see if he'd like to do a joint writeup on this using ISU players' stats (or whoever's stats people would like to see) if people are really interested.
