Next 2 weeks

Huge next 2 weeks for this team.

K-State
@OSU

If we can get out of that stretch 3-1, it sets us up very nicely. Then we have back to back home games against OU and Baylor.

Protect our home court, steal a couple on the road and we should be cruising into the NCAA tournament.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup.

If one of those 3 W's could be K-State I would be well pleased.

I think we should win those first three. Two terrible teams on the road, follow by a home Saturday game. Should be packed to the rafters. Will be tailgating early for that one. OSU doesn't seem to be as good as I thought they'd be at the beginning of the year. Nevertheless, it'll be a tough one on the road.

I badly want to win @OSU. We should have won there each of the last two years, and it's been since, what, like 1988 since the last time we had a win in that building?

Nothing is guaranteed on the road. TT is playing much better and TCU wasn't THAT bad last night.

No, not guaranteed. When I say "should win", I mean "need to win if we want to finish 2nd or have any remote shot at winning the conference".

We need 3-1 because the tailend schedule will be the grinder.

Any win is a good win, and none of them will be given to us. Then again, it won't be the end of the world if we lose one or two. It certainly would be huge to come out of that with no losses though.

Winning home games against the teams you are fighting for position in conference is very important, so the key ones to be are the games in Hilton coming up against KSU, OU and Baylor. Those 3 will go a long way to determining out end position.

Beating TCU and TTU anywhere is a must to finish top half of the conference. Winning @OSU would just be gravy.

That's what I see happening.

I want the win @OSU, but I'm not hanging my hat on that one.
I expect to go there 5-1 in conference play. I'm happy with that start.

Nothing is guaranteed, but if we lose one of these we'll be close to guaranteed not be dancing in March. And frankly, we probably wouldn't deserve to.

Exactly what I was thinking. That's why I will be a nervous wreck. They are almost elimination games for us. Obviously not quite, but close. Losing to either one at home, later in the season, would be the ultimate dagger.

You must not have been watching the TCU game. They were god awful and K State let up well before the end of the game.

The OP is a week early, the next two are a snooze fest and and then there is stretch of 5 games where we play all the teams that we will be fighting for 2nd place.
