Re: Preview: Iowa State @ TCU
This game has all the makings of a trap. A possession team will frustrate ISU as our players need a steady pace to stay in rhythm. I can see our 3's not falling and then having to defend a TCU team for 35 seconds being a recipe for disaster.
I think Lucious needs to have a big offensive game for ISU to win. I want to see Korie penetrate and create easy shots for himself and others in the paint.

Re: Preview: Iowa State @ TCU
I would love nothing more than to see us go on the road to play a terrible team and beat them by thirty, like we are capable of doing. The sad thing is we let the competition dictate our gameplay when it comes to games like these (example wvu). I wouldn't call it a trap game, but a game that shows whether or not we can go on the road and show that we really are for real and that playing KU to OT at their place wasn't some fluke. I'm ready for the cyclones to turn the corner. To be that team that can walk into a road game with a swagger about themselves that nothing is holding them back from thumping an opponent.

Wow, those are some great, honest quotes from Matt A. Refreshing to hear that instead of the regular coach speak you get out of most teams.
"What a horrible night to have a curse."

"Please bury me with all my stuff, because you know it's mine..."
-Master Shake
"Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood." -

Re: Preview: Iowa State @ TCU
I don't think it will be close. Our offence will rebound after WVU. I bet we get over 70, TCU will have around 60. They just are not good, and their homecourt advantage is nil.

Had we not had such a close call against WVU earlier this week, I could maybe see our guys looking past this game, but if Fred is a good coach, (and I definitely think he is) he'll use the WVU game as a teaching tool, and keep the team focused.

There hasn't been a Big 12 team this bad in a long long time. This isn't an ordinary game. If we don't show up, we win by 8 instead of 18. We would have to play our worst game of the season by a long margin to lose this game.

If we were to lose to them, I would probably avoid sports of any kind for a week. But I as I watched them play KSU, they do have more talent than several teams that we struggled with at home in the non-conference the past two years. Perhaps I should have said, could lose. Poor attempt at saying too many games are labeled trap games.

Wait, TCU joined in sports other than football? :)
I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story.
