I think it was ugly but it has to be hard to get excited to play a bad TCU team in an empty building.
Just a few stats for everyone since we were so crazy with those earlier in the week:
TCU is one of 4 teams to out-offensive rebound teams in conference play (+2), ISU is -7. (Both before today's game)
TCU's average margin of defeat? 13 points, including -9 vs Tech, -19 @ OSU, -11 @ Baylor, and -13 vs KSU.
We aparently played a terrible game today, so I guess we can assume that our "bad" is roughly equal to these teams average, meaning we are awesome :jimlad:
TCU has attempted 20 more FT in 4 conference games than opponents. Obviously, this was a little ridiculous, but they are a hustle team and it leads to some FT opportunities.
Relax guys, we got exactly what we should have expected from this game.

This one went somewhat the way I expected.
I whined in the in-game thread about failure to put the game away. Margin of victory wasn't my concern, but when it's a 10-point game inside of five minutes, strange things can sometimes happen.
I seriously don't know if TCU can avoid going 0-18.
Considering 3/4 of those teams are ones we've said all along were very similiar to us, that shouldn't come as a surprise.Quote:

Lots of teams are getting blown out today. And its because they are good teams and therefore their opponents are up for them and are playing the game of the season. (MD-UNC, Mizzou-Florida, Uconn-Pitt.)
I mean lets say Florida was playing Miss St instead of Mizzou right now. Its not like they'd be smoking them by 50 or 60 just b/c they are worse than Mizzou who they are handling by 30.
It was boring and it was ugly. But I'll take a 13 pt conference road win any day of the week!
