Can't remember if it went into OT, but I know it was very high-scoring. They had either just went to NAIA or were in their last few years of D2. It was either 2000 or 2001, so interestingly, one of the top 2 ISU teams ever almost lost to a NAIA team.

If you think that's bad, we used to play Nebraska...twice a year!

you know it's obscure when the scores on ESPN.com have no logo for the team, expect that in november, pretty weird in January.

Only other Big 12 game this season I could find with no logo on ESPN was KState played some team early listed only as "AH" and beat them by 50 :-)

These guys have the UMKC Kangaroos and Campbell Camels logo ready to go at the drop of a hat though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Mox from Varsity Blues was going to Hardin-Simmons to play baseball if he couldn't get into Brown.

I would certainly hope they would crush a team made up of only two guys. Gardner-Webb may have given them better game

I'm assuming these were exhibition games at the beginning of the season, not in the middle of conference play?

I don’t care where you come from, whether it’s Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I don’t care about any of that… But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads

not sure this is the most relevant year to point that out.

Re: Seriously Scott Drew & Baylor?

I almost pooped myself when I saw this. Why would you EVER schedule a D3 team? EVER?! You shouldn't even be scheduleing them in non-conference play.
