It was nice seeing him get some meaningful minutes against TCU on saturday. Im very excited to see how Naz progresses. As a true freshman, its hard to get a lot of minutes when you have a pg who has played in multiple final fours, but from what I've seen he has been very enthusiastic about this team, despite the lack of playing time. I really hope Korie has been teaching him some things and helped his development which I'm sure he has. It'd be great to see Naz get 5-10 minutes a game, just to build up more confidence. I was most worried about our pg spot for next year, but with Naz, Morris, Jones and Bubu I think we'll have at least 1 player who can fill the role well.

I think he may have had a foot injury? Yes, for several reasons it would be good if we saw more of Naz the rest of the season.

I had to take a double-check when I saw him out there the other day. I'm glad he got a little time, regardless of how he played in the short amount. Hopefully the Tech game will be another opportunity for him to get some PT.

Nope. I think he's gonna play some more now that he's had time to get acclimated to this league. Not many freshman come in ready on day one. Remember Bubu didn't even have an offer from ISU...Naz did. Coach obviously knows more than we do about recruiting too, and he sees these guys in practice where we don't.

I'm thinking Monte will start, Bubu will backup, and Naz will backup Bubu (for the 1 position) and Bubu has a scholarship now. I think Bubu is 10x better than any coach was ever expecting him to be at this point in his basketball career.

Jones can't play until January next year, right? I guess the non-con will say a lot about what happens with Monte, who I also expect to start on Day One next fall.

If Fred thinks all these guys need playing time, he can always move someone over to the 2. We cannever have too many good ball handlers. It just all depends on how players develop and injuries.
