The next couple weeks will determine where we stand in the conference.
The next couple of weeks will be huge for us starting this Saturday. Here is how it looks.
Kansas St, @Okie St, Baylor (Sat), Oklahoma (Mon), @Kansas St
We haven't won at Okie St in forever and having Baylor and Oklahoma in three days will be tough, but atleast they will be at home. Thoughts?

Not to be an asshat or anything but technically every two weeks determine where we stand in the conference.
Just win baby!
My teams: (as of 2/27/13) Cleveland Browns: 5-11 - .313 Cleveland Indians: 68-94 - .421 Cleveland Cavs: 19-38 - .333 Iowa State Cyclones (FB): 6-7 - .462 9/22/18 & 9/7/19 Akron and Iowa State CAN'T WAIT! -

True, but this will be our toughest stretch of games by far.

I'm not sure who is going to beat us at Hilton. We are almost unbeatable there.

Forgetting a game against Tech?

For what we want to play for, may that be a rolling statement.

There is ones mistake. Losing to Texas Tech next Wednesday would not be good.. Would be a huge gut punch as far NCAA Tournament seeding.

Re: The next couple weeks will determine where we stand in the conference.
I agree, I think the Big 12 is shaping up into 3 tiers - Tier 1 (KU), Tier 2 (ISU, KSU, OU, OSU, Baylor), Tier 3(the rest). Its really going to be key to at least defend our homecourt against the rest of the Tier 2 teams and hopefully snag a couple road wins against them. We really need to win at least 3 of those 5 games you listed. If we could somehow win 4 of those 5 we have a great shot at a 2nd or 3rd place finish and a realistic shot at winning the conference if we can beat KU at Hilton.
Also I am expecting a tight game Wednesday against Texas Tech, but hopefully I'm just worrying about nothing.

Re: The next couple weeks will determine where we stand in the conference.
We, as fans, can look ahead to any game or stretch we want. That doesn't impact any singular game, like the one against Tech.

The are two ways would go the furthest in causing a deviation from that- winning against KU and losing to TT or TCU.
Say (determining where we stand) = (weight of win/loss)*(probability of win/loss). Inversely proportional of course, but the latter not being small enough to offset the former.

Flawed logic. Every game determines where we stand. Losing at Tech would most likely be an indication we will finish no better than 5th in the conference. Beating them puts us at +2 in the standings.
