Re: NBA Talent on our current roster?
IMO, Clyburn only one with a legitimate shot. Lucious will get some looks from teams if he can continually produce high assist numbers. If he could get up to 6 assists consistently, I think he will definitely work out with a fair amount of teams.
Also, I don't think that Babb's style of play really translates to either the NBA, or especially European basketball. He isn't a good enough defender for NBA, but not enough of an offensive threat for Europe
And I suppose that McGee has a very small chance, but, IMO, not likely whatsoever

Re: NBA Talent on our current roster?
0 but I think there is numerous overseas players if they want. I actually believe Will and Babb can maybe make a D League. Babb has the size and defensive ability, if he can improve from the outside he could make a D League roster

Re: NBA Talent on our current roster?
None, but hopefully Matt Thomas, Monte Morris, Rashad Vaughn et al can change that.

Re: NBA Talent on our current roster?
I think we have a lot of good Euroleague professional players on our team. NBA...not so much.

Re: NBA Talent on our current roster?
To be honest, I won't be the least surprised if Clyburn gets drafted. In fact I'm expecting it. I think he will sneak in somewhere in the mid to late 2nd round. He is much better than what people on this board give him credit for.
And if I'm not mistaken, John Walters said preseason that Clyburn is 1st round potential. If he can get rolling a bit more and create shots for himself there is no reason he can't go in the 1st round. He just needs to show up big soon though with the season half over.

Re: NBA Talent on our current roster?
Niang could become a Draymond Green type guy.

Re: NBA Talent on our current roster?
Of course, as others in this thread have said, it doesn't matter if we have NBA players on our roster, as long as we have guys who can play in college

I would argue that Lucious, Ejim, Babb have a 0% combined chance of playing in the NBA, and I think I'm being generous not putting Tyrus in this category (It's my rose colored glasses). I like our team and think we have alot of good players on it, but I respectfully think your original thesis is one of the most "kool-aid infused" posts I've read in a long time. Carry on.

hmmm.... I'll put my money on Niang.
Fred is a good boss!

Out of the seniors Clyburn has the best shot. Other than that I think Niang will definitely have a shot when his time comes several years from now. I also think Dorsey-Walker will become a stud scorer and have a chance too.

Re: NBA Talent on our current roster?
Hard to believe that in 2007-2008 we had 3 future NBA players and finished 4 games under .500.

On second thought, Ejim is the one most likely to play on an Olympic team Fred is a good boss!

Clyburn and Ejim both have NBA potential. Originally Posted by Cydkar If I had to bet my life I'd wager that none of our current roster plays in the NBA. Clyburn would be my lone wildcard but I don't think he looks quite like an NBA guy.
Melvin has no chance at the NBA level. -

Standing still he can jump just fine but you can make a decent blooper reel off of the layups and dunks he's blown when having to make athletic plays on the move.
The only bigger turnoff than finding out a woman smokes, is finding out she's a Husker fan.
