Re: ***Official Calm-Down Thread***
I thought this was supposed to be the "calm-down thread." I was hoping for some positiveness.

The calm down thread isn't working.....better start an emergency "serenity now" thread before this whole place burns down.

I don't think the OP realizes just how bad Texas Tech is.

Re: ***Official Calm-Down Thread***
Verse 2 of the Iowa game. Tech absolutely deserved to win.... We were flat-footed, had no hustle & played selfishly. Nobody moved without the ball... The effort was truly pathetic.
Right now this team plays to the level of the opponent. There's still hope, but they've got to learn to come ready to play every night & not give any hope to teams like TTU. Unless that happens, NIT, here we come.

However, I think our offense looks exposed and our defense has major holes. I am saying that it wouldn't surprise me if we get swept by OU, Baylor, KSU and lose to KU, @WVU and @Texas. I thought this way after the TCU game and I think that tonight confirms that. Saturday will be a make or break game for us.
ISU has never been an NCAA tournament team year after year and this definitely isn't our year. Our resume is lackluster and it will take a lot for us to get back on the right side of the bubble. Unlike the B1G (and to some extent the ACC/Big East), there are not many spots to pick up a quality win.
I think the KU game was a fluke in that we made 14 threes in that game to stay in it. The past 3 games, ISU has made 8 (WVU), 5 (TCU) and 6 (TTU). Offensive production/turnovers have increased the last 2 games (which is more our norm). This is how I can see us getting swept by OU, Baylor, KSU and losses to KU, @WVU and @Texas. It bothers me, but ISU just isn't a consistent NCAA team and I just don't see it in the cards this year for my Clones (probably not next year either).

Its a game, we keep score and someone loses.
If you are not mature enough to stand with us calm Cyclone fans, go be a Duke fan, or a Creighton fan, maybe go Big 10 and cheer on Iowa, or Wisconsin, Minnesota, their all upset too.
I like Fred, our players, I don't enjoy losing, but I don't think they liked losing either.
Plenty of games ahead.
I don't think we will go undefeated the rest of the way, but I will cheer them on all the way.
That's why my family has season tickets, we are true Cyclones.
Fault finding, complaining only raises the blood pressure, doesn't change the score.
I doubt Fred and the boys read this blog anyway.
I'm sure you accept criticism about your work with open acceptance for change.
Really, go to bed, start over tomorrow with a better attitude.

KU wasn't a fluke IMO, it was a sign of this teams true potential. Fred is a great offensive coach and our offense will definitely bounce back. Remember that our home court is Hilton, we are not going to lose often at Hilton which takes away a few loses you just mentioned. We will win enough games to get back to the dance.
