No positives from this. This was by definition one of the worst losses in the modern history of Cyclone basketball. This wasn't like going into Boulder or Lincoln and losing to a 100ish RPi team on the road. This wasn't really a D1 team in reality.
All that said, basketball is like this. A team can recover, and oftentimes they do. Time will tell.
Positive: ISU is still very much in the hunt for a tournament bid.
Has anyone seen all the lukewarm resumes out there?
Of course, that only gets you so far. Eventually, you have to prove something.
This is probably the worst loss since Johnny Orr took over ISU basketball. We have yet to pick up that "Good Win." We are far from the tourney, RPI considered. Kansas win at home is an absolute must win now.
